Just Some Of The Equipment That We Utilize
Infrared Camera System
- Thermography is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to “see” and “measure” thermal energy emitted from an object.
- The higher the object’s temperature, the greater the IR radiation emitted. Even very cold items such as ice, emit thermal energy.
- This technology is used to locate leaks
Helium Injection/Tracing System
- We use helium for locating a leak. When we arrive on a job, we trace the line, listen with the water on and then use air or inert gases to help pinpoint the sound of the leak. The helium detector will verify the leak.
- The helium detector detects in parts per million which allows us to get a very accurate reading of how close we are to the leak site. This can also be used on large volume systems or searching a large area.
Water Leak Detectors
- Using ground microphones and a leak noise correlator, we listen at two points on a pipe and compare the leak noise. Then input into the computer the type of pipe, diameter and the exact length. This correlates the leak noise and pinpoints the exact location of the leak between the two points.
- This system is used a lot for surveys on larger pipe systems like those found in municipal areas. One of the primary advantages is that it listens directly at the pipe so it can “hear” the leak clearly and pinpoint the location more accurately.
Radio Detection System
- Using high-end pipe and cable locations, we can determine the precise location of cables and pipes.
